Flamenco is deeply rooted in Spanish culture, and Esencia Flamenca is dedicated to sharing and promoting this vibrant art form and its cultural heritage. Under the direction of Mariko Drayton, who has been devoted to Esencia Flamenca for over 10 years, we have regularly offered flamenco classes and hosted annual workshops with world-renowned flamenco masters.
Beyond performance and training, Esencia Flamenca places great importance on social engagement and education, actively contributing to Hong Kong’s cultural ecology while fostering meaningful cultural exchange between Hong Kong, Spain, and Japan.
Now is the time to celebrate our journey so far—while continuing to walk further along the path of flamenca!
1) 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫(𝐒𝐨𝐰)/𝐋𝐚 𝐈𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢ó𝐧 (𝟑𝟎 𝐉𝐚𝐧) : Spanish artists from Spain — Adrian Santana (artistic director/choreographer/dancer), Jonatan Miro (dancer), Antonio El Canito (singer), Al Blanco (singer), José El Peli (guitarist) + Mariko Drayton (director of Esencia Flamenca) will be performing
2) 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫(𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫)/𝐋𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚 (𝟑𝟏 𝐉𝐚𝐧) : Student Recital of Esencia Flamenca
from beginners to advanced, kids to adults all will be dancing + guest Spanish artists will perform as well
3) 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐫(𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐦)/𝐋𝐚 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐚 (𝟏 𝐅𝐞𝐛) : Spanish artists from Spain — Adrian Santana (artistic director/choreographer/dancer), Jonatan Miro (dancer), Antonio El Canito (singer), Al Blanco (singer), José El Peli (guitarist) + Mariko Drayton and Esencia Flamenca Dance Company will be performing.
